Emboss Printing

During this project, to make my editorial piece stand out I would like to incorporate emboss printing. Embossing results in a raised surface, which the design is higher or lower than the surrounding paper. This will add a new element to my design making it more tactile and interesting. I will try and use it in the style of a call out quote or possibly some hand drawn images, but the latter will be more difficult, or simply just as a page number.

To see how embossing works I decided to have a play around and see what I could come up with.

I Found that without ink the embossment was far greater that with ink and because I want the emboss printing to be a main feature of my design, the use of no ink will be more effective for the style that I want.
