This was just a short one day project to create a placard on any issue of our choice. After some thoughts and discussion our group decided on how social media distorts real life, not always giving a true image. We came up with two phrases to show the cons of the internet and its usage and how being offline, and how people see things of their true perspective. These were “Online is through a filter” showing that a lot of things on social media and the internet have been distorted through a filter, not showing a true image. The other was “Offline is through your own eyes” suggesting that nothing has been edited or distorted in any way.

Our font choice was a bold hand rendered font coupled with the Instagram font, emphasising the the use of online and filters. In addition to this the word FILTERS was created using different stroke techniques to give the impression of a filter and editing tools.

Overall I am happy with the outcome because sometimes the simplest of tools and technology are the best way to get a message across.
